On 30th May,
I invited some of my friends over to my house to celebrate my birthday.
We had a SPLASHY fun.
First, we went down to the pool and start off with a water gun fight. But for us who don't have water guns, we had to suffer from those who keep on shooting, especially Aiman.
Later, we ate and went on swimming around the pool.
Some of us played the Twister.
Anyway, let's just skipped the whole thing and see some of the pictures we took.

Hey, today we had our B.M and Moral test.
B.M was O.K and a little bit hard but Moral was easy.
Well, that not why I'm here today.. I'm here today to talk about Yuki's Birthday Party at Eastin Hotel.
It was on 17th May at the Swez Brasserie, Eastin Hotel. It was a buffet kinda birthday party.
I was a bit late because I had ballet before that.
I went there and wished the birthday girl all the best.
When I got there, I went to my friends, Ellisha, Sarah, Ho Ch'ng Mun and Kelly.
We went around the buffet cater and took whatever we like, we had oysters, salmon, ABC, soup, ice-cream and many other dishes.
After the meal, my friends and I started to chat about school and exams.
We went around the hotel and after that we went and EAT again.
Soon, a clown arrived to entertain Yuki's sister and all the other younger kids. As we were bored, we went over and asked the clown to make a balloons. Ellisha got a green sword, Kelly got a blue dog and Ch'ng Mun got a pink dog. After we got our balloon, we started to fool around and making up stories.
Later, we played truth or dare. My brother was also fooling around with us, making jokes that made us laugh our heads off.
Again, we went and eat. I can't stop eating the salmon though cause it is too delicious!!
We continue the games, and after that party ended.
So bad.
Well, I gotta say that the party was fun.
Here are some weird and funny pictures we took that day!
~Kelly drinking her water before heading to the buffet to grab more food!
~ Ellisha and I posing.. Haha..
~ I told her to stop moving but she JUST don't listen!!! But i like the effect of the picture!!
~ We're promoting ABC!!! Haha
~Ellisha and Ch'ng Mun were arguing over something.. I'm not sure either..

Firstly, I would like to thank my English teacher for giving me this project to do.
Besides getting to know the wonders of blogging, I also got to know why I should care for my parents.
I would also like to thank my parents for helping me throughout the project.
Millions of thanks to my friends that helped me and taught me to blog.
Furthermore, I would like to thank my elder brother, Leslie Yap for helping me to complete this folio.
Thanks!
Love from, Amanda.

Last 17th April to 19th April,
all of us, prefects, librarians and the class monitors and assistant class monitor went for a camp at Camp D'Perkasa, Gombak, Selangor.
Well, let's start off on the very first day (which is on Friday).
We gathered at the assembly hall to take attendance. We received a short briefing from Puan Nor Syuhada. After the briefing, we were all divided to 2 groups and was all aboard on the bus.
In the bus, we chatted and laughed.
*sigh...Let's skip til we reached our destination, ok?
By the time we reached the place, we were all amazed by the beautiful nature.
We were once again at the canteen, receiving some briefing from the facilitator; Abang Kai.
Later, in the evening, after we put our belongings in our bungalow AKA our tent, we met our facilitator at the field. We did some Ice Breaking activities and a game called Illusions. It was FUN!!
Soon, it was night time, we went back to the tent to get some beuty sleep.
On the second day,
I was waken by Ellisha Pang, one of my tent mates.
She whispered " Wake up, sleepy head!!!"
And I was like, " No thanks, nights!"
But of course she didn't let me go that easy, so in the end I was still forced to wake up.
We brushed our teeth, showered and all the other daily routine.
After that, the non-Islams gathered at the canteen while the Islams went to pray.
When we were all gathered we had our breakfast! ^^
We went to jungle trekking.
On the way to our destination,
there was one part where we have to cross a river.
We were to go group by group.
While waiting for my group,
our teachers, Encik. Khairulnizam, Encik Roshin and Encik Shah was fooling around and sprayed water at us.
After the jungle trekking,
we lined up and waited for the other activity.
Th activity that I was talking about is the SWAMP!!!
We thought it was river bathing but it turned out to be MUD BATHING!!!
Therefore, when it was my groups turn,
we were all shouting and shrieking.
When I stepped in the swamp, I could feel the mud tickling my skin.
It was so... disgusting!
There were small insects in the mud too!!
When we were done in the swamp, (thank god!!)
After that,
we went for a bath at the river!
It was so cool and fresh!!
We get to wash our clothes that were covered with mud.
From the brown muddy shirt to the original blue colored shirt.
Nice and clean!! ^^
We were bathing for quite a while when the facilitator inform us that it was time to go and have our tea break.
Later after our tea,
we were allowed to take a short nap but we did not. In fact, we played handball and Tarzan Swing!
Soon, we went to a place to learn about an activity called High Rope. We were to climb up the tree trunks, ladders, across some kind of ladder, in the ropes, tires and finally when we reached up the highest spot, we did the Flying Fox!
The High Rope was an activity on the third day, but we learned about the safety instructions on the second day.
After that, we rest again.
By the time the Sun sets,
we gathered for our Night Walk in the jungle.
Ellisha and I were both anxious and also nervous...
But the night walk was pretty fun too! Cause at the last part, we get to slide down!!
When we reached the camp site, all of us bath and drop dead(sleep)!
On the third day, we woke up a bit late.
We did some exercise and learn some Taichi moves!
Breakfast was after the morning routine,
I was so hungry that I practically gulped it all down. ^^
After that, we did some activities.
For example, we did Tarzan Swing, Spider Web and also High Rope.
The Flying Fox and the High Rope was the most exciting activity in the whole camp.
Before we return to school, we had a short bath at the river.
Soon, we left the camp and headed to school.
I was so sad because the camp was so FUN!
I hope to visit the place again! ^^

On the 12th of April, Sunday,
our school had been chosen to perform at Sri Pentas.
We were also competing.
We trained from 27th March til 10th April.
The trainings were quite fun.
The day before the big day, we went to Sri Pentas by bus.
Food was for free too.^^
We had 'nasi lemak' for breakfast.
Later, we did some marching and D-A-N-C-E-D til we drop!
We had a fun-filled day.
On the BIG day,
we went to Sri Pentas again.
We warmed-up before we marched.
Later during the march, the crowd was amazed by some gymnastic moves by one of the dancers; Steff Chow.
After that, we performed. We were quite nervous. Later, one of the student's dad, who is the CEO of the 8tv, gave us a special tour around the building. We visited different sections in the building.
When we dropped by his office, he played on his keyboard and we were all amazed by his spectacular performance.
After the tour,we thanked him and gathered in the auditorium. In the end, we did our best and won fourth place. Although it's not first place, we were very happy and went home.

Dear Caring Tree,
Hi, I've read you in a book! How are you? When I read the book, I thought that you must be the kindest living thing on earth as you didn't mind the way the boy behaved. His behaviour really upsets me. Although his greed was expanding each time he visited, you didn't hesitate. Instead you gave him all that you were able to. But I was quite happy when I'd read that the boy came back to you. You are so kind and generous, I admire you very much. You remind me so much of my parents. The way you'd sacraficed for the boy is the same way as parents sacrafice for their children. The boy should be a happy to have such a caring friend. That's all for now. I'll write to you as soon as possible!
Always,
Amanda.

Title: The Caring Tree
Author: SheikhHassam Seylan ' Abad
Illustrator: Raihan Munif Bahasuan
Editor: LimPuay Hiang
Publisher: Abad Ceria Enterprise
Book Review:
The story is about a little boy and a loving tree. Everyday, he would come around the tree to play with it. He would climb to the treetop and eat the fruits. He loves the tree and the tree loves to play with him too.
But as he grows up, he no longer wants to play around the tree anymore. He wants toys, so he asked the tree for help. The tree has no money but it offered the boy its fruits to be sold at the market. After that, the boy never came to the tree. The next time the boy visited the tree, it was also the same reason but this time the boy wanted to build a house, so the tree offered him to cut off its branches. Again, he returned to the tree. But alas, he just asked for the tree's trunk to build himself a boat. Finally, when the boy was old and wrinkly. He went back to the tree. The tree said to the man, "I do not have anything to give you. All that is left of me is my dying roots.". Although the man was always asking for more, the tree was more than welcome when the man came back.
In this story, I enjoyed the part when the boy was younger and was always visiting the tree. I'd also learnt that we should always appreciate the things that our parents provide for us and that no matter what happen we should always love our parents for they are always with us.
This story reminds me of my elder siblings who is always asking more from my parents, but my parents never hesitated on giving them. This is because my parents love and care for them.

There's nothing to tell but the trip to Mid Valley.
On 24th February, the Nickelodeon Big Green Help campaign had invited 40 pupils from my school.
Me and my friends: Krisha, Aainaa, Edmund and See Eleven was one of the selected students.
On the way to Mid Valley ( in the bus),
I was very excited.. until i couldn't stop walking about in the bus... just to say "I can't sit still!" to all my friends.
Its was really F-U-N!!
When we finally reached there, we queued up and went to the Center Hall where we met the Nickelodeon Big Green Help campaign. They provided us food and water. After that, we rehearsed..
Finally, the campaign kicked off. There was a lot of reporters. Me and my friends were excited all over again.
Later, there was a performance by the Tree Theater.
It was about the environment and how mankind destroyed and cut down the trees.
The show was really touching!
After that, there was a press conference. About 12.oo p.m. or 1.oo p.m., the campaign endded. Our teachers also allowed us to buy ice cream at Baskin Robins!

Hey!
Name's Amanda...
I'm gonna sit for UPSR this year..
I'm very scared.
Currently, I'm studying at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bintang Utara (Great school!). I'm in class 6 Bestari. My class teacher is Pn. Ng. She is a great teacher too. In that case, every teacher in my school is GREAT!! My parents are the best while my siblings are fun and nice. I like to swim, read, draw and do handycrafts. And my ambition is to be a doctor. My favourite subjects are English and Science. Moreover, my goals for this year is to get 5As' for UPSR and become a better student to my teachers and also a better child to my parents.
By the way, my brother is always reminding me that UPSR is coming.
It's always haunting me!! But i have to give my best and score 5A's because both of my parents promised me to get me a new laptop and maybe a NANO IPOD!! ~hooray!!~
Anyways,
my friends: Aainaa, the outgoing and cool girl..Krisha the crazy-no- LUNATIC girl! and then there's Ellisha, the pretty and chubby girl(but has eyebags). They have been the ones who is always sticking by me.. Best Friends!!
Besides them, there is also Edmund Yap. He is a kind guy but somtimes can be very very bad..
See Eleven, he is a cool guy too!!
Without my friends, I think my life will be as dull as a black world!!
So, I really want to thank my friends for sticking with me and being my friends!
My life is just perfect with my friends and family!
I guess its time to say goodbye!
Gonna blog again next time!!
Bye!!
